Santiago Solanas is passionate about creating value and growth through transformation of people, teams and businesses. He has done it successfully as a local, regional and global CEO, CMO and Sales leader in IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Sage and currently in Cisco, where he is currently Vice President of France and Southern Europe.
His main expertise has been the creation of customer-centric, sustainable, recurring business models based on software and high performing teams. Santiago also has startup experience as an employee and as an investor, and he is currently a Board member.
He has a personal interest in diversity and inclusion, and invests a significant amount of time mentoring young people and women in business. Santiago developed a curiosity for learning since his early years: he has lived in five countries, completed an MSc in Telecommunications Engineering and a postgraduate executive degree in Harvard Business School.
His coach defines him as a “multifaceted life practitioner”: he enjoys modern art, boating, cars, food and wine, traveling, reading, antique maps, golf, Atletico de Madrid soccer club and spending time with his family and friends. Santiago has six kids of almost all ages who keep him grounded in reality.
